Hello Acronis users,

I use Acronis True Image 2019 to backup my data. I only backup a specific drive und want to backup it every 5-7 days completely to an external harddrive. My question is, what happens if the drive is full? Does Acronis stop doing backups or will it override old data on the external drive? I could not find an option to set this function.

Kind regards

ATI will show an error if it runs out of space. You can specify clean-up rules when establishing a backup task. They can depend on how long the backup version has been in existence, the number of backup sets to be retained (as you seem to be full backups it would be the number of backups). You can also do manual cleanup - I do this to remove incremental backups when I start to run out of space. I suggest you look at the relevant part of the user guide.
