My ATI 2019 standard has the compression level grayed out and was wondering is this feature only available in other versions of ATI 2019?

No, it is available in all versions for backups other than those to Acronis Cloud.

Compression is not available when do a clone, and when doing a sector-by-sector backup. If there are issues with the source disk then backup will 'revert' to sector-by-sector.

Thank you Ian, Is there a way to tell if there are issues with the source disk?

Hello Tim,

there is a known limitation for setting compression rate and password protection - both actions are only available for a new archive. Does the issue reproduce if you create a new plan and do not point to an existing archive?

Thank you that did it. I just had to delete the backup and setup another one and it was not grayed out anymore and could be changed, thank you very much.

Great! You're welcome!

Ekaterina, that obvious explanation of why it was greyed out did not occur to me. Probably because I do not change backup specifications once the backup is created.
