Be carefull installing ATI 2019

Thread needs solution

I have bought an installed the new version today. Be carefull using it. It is very slow: Starting the program it needs nearly two mintues applying the user settings. After the program has opened it is very slow, Shows no reaction. If you are trying to validate the Image directly after creating an Image (validating after creating an Image) there is an error that the drive is not ready.

I am a Long time user of ATI (since Version 9) but this is a little bit to much. Version 2018 was working perfectly for me.

My Computer is an Alienware X51 with 16 GB ram, 2 TB Harddisk, 3 years old.

This was reported during the Beta test.  Some people do not experience the delay at all.  Others (such as I) did experience it.  Uninstalling reinstalling the product briefly fixed the problem but it returned.  The same delay happened (to me) when switching between displays of different backup tasks.  (The delay does not happen when switching between (for instance) the Tools and Settings displays.

Since this this problem does not occur for all users, it is probably configuration dependent.  I would recommend opening a ticket with Acronis support for this problem.  The more input the support staff gets on this problem, the quicker it will get fixed.

The good news is that this problem does not seem to interfere with backups.  The bad news is that this problem makes it very difficult to change existing backup tasks or to add new ones.  It's a very frustrating problem.

Problem is solved. After buying the product the offered Version was 13110, not 13660. 13660 is doing its Job very well.

Thank you Acronis support!

That's good to know.  I was about to do a clean reinstall of Windows  to see if I had an underlying problem.

Update (hours later):
I confirm.  The behavior of the 13660 GUI does not have the delays and hang present in the 13110 GUI.
