Best way to resolve Active Protection warnings on trusted software

Thread needs solution

I just updated my versions of PyCharm and IntelliJ IDEA from JetBrains. Both updates were accompanied by multiple warnings of ransomware patterns in as many as 414 files (in the case of IntelliJ IDEA).

What is the best way to raise these warnings -- which I believe to be false positives -- so that they can be resolved. I have let JetBrains know about the problem. Is there a single mechanism for letting Acronis know about suspected false positives?

Michael, in the app, click on "help" in the lower left corner, then "send feedback" and write up your feedback and send a system report with it.

As for resolving the existing behavior...

In the left panel, click on Active Protection and from the main tab, click on "manage processes".  You can then add the executable(s) for these programs to prevent them from flagging in the future.
