is bit bit cloning set as default in acronis true image

Thread needs solution

i was  just wondering if bit-bit cloning was set as default when choosing to automatically clone.

im just curious about it as it took my a while to clone and i want to know if it was to do with the way it was cloned (being bit-bit or just the used space) or if it was to do with the age of my drive

Not sure what you mean by bit-bit cloning mode here?

Cloning will attempt to copy all used sectors from the source drive and replicate these on the target drive, with some automatic resizing of partitions if the drive sizes are different, (larger or smaller).

The size of drives involved and the percentage of used space on the source drive will affect how long the clone will take, along with the CPU, memory and disk controller speed etc.  If cloning to an external drive, then the type of connection too, i.e. USB 2 is much slower than USB 3.
