Can a removeable internal harddrive receive bootable rescue media?

Thread needs solution

I have two internal harddrives for backup.

One receives the daily routine file backups.  It stays in the PC.

The removable harddrive gets a weekly system backup and is stored off site.

Can I add the bootable rescue media to the off site harddrive.

Tried to use the Acronis Survival Kit tool but it waits for an external drive to offer the rescue media.

I was considering putting the drive in an external enclosure to add the rescue media than put it in the hot swap caddy,

The usb rescue kit is workable but another small piece to misplace.  All in one is tidy.

Thanks,

Mort

Mort, the rescue media / survival kit is intended for use with USB connected removable drives where you would be able to select the rescue drive from the boot menu of your computer as a drive to boot from.

During beta testing I was going to test using other form of external storage (FireWire and eSATA - no thunderbolt storage devices) but did not get around to doing so. Suspect eSATA would not work and FireWire is so ancient it probably will not work).
