Cannot add existing backup TI 2019

Thread solved

I'm not able to add three existing backup to TI. I've opened TI, clicked on BACKUP, clicked on the dropdown at the bottom of the window in the "Add backup" section and clicked on "Add existing backup"

  • Add Existing Backup window opens.
  • I click the "+" for This PC
  • Drill down to the folder on the USB drive where the backup are stored
  • TI displays the folder as empty.

If I view the same folder in my file manager I see the following: I want to delete the four highlighted files. the 0326-2020 file is in the Clean Up Versions window but the other three are not. I keep reading DON'T DELETE TIB FILES OUTSIDE OF TI"

SO..... how do I add them to TI. Once inside TI I know how to delete them. Of course, I could delete them outside of TI......

Here is what I see in the Clean Up versions window in TI

John, if the backups are not listed in the ATI GUI and not shown as a recovery point in time by virtue of their date / time stamps, then you can safely delete the files without having to worry about information stored in the internal database use by ATI.

It is only when files are associated with tasks shown in the GUI that there are issues with deleting them outside of the GUI options.
