Cannot update survival kit

Thread needs solution

I am new to acronis having only purchased the product recently. My problem is when backing up I am prompted to update the survival kit. If I understand correctly this should be on the same external drive as my backups, a 1TB Seagate external HD which is not being used for anything else. A message box appears saying update failed as disk could not be locked as it is being used for another function. I am at a loss as to what to do.

This issue has been reproduced by Acronis Support and is slated for a fix in the next release of the product.

You can update the Survival Kit at that time.  Until then what you have should still work.
