Can't delete cloud backup

Thread needs solution

Hello all,

I used the 2018 trial version for a month and backed up some files to the cloud. When the trial ended I made a lot of changes to the folders I had previously backed up and I'd like to start again but I'm having 2 issues:

1: My 'used storage' bar indicates I have used ~40GB of my 250 but when I open that backup, it says the backup is empty.

2: When I choose to delete that backsup, it says 'The operation cannot be completed, the selected computer is currently in use. Please try again later.'

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In order to delete a Cloud backup the associated computer needs to be offline as far as the Cloud is concerned, then an option to Delete the backup for that computer will be offered.

I tried it from my phone with my PC switched off (not at the wall) but that didnt work either. Do you mean I'd have to literally pull the ethernet cable out?

 

Edit: disconnected my pc from the Internet, still won't work.

Could you provide a step by step to getting this to work, or point me to some information that can? Many thanks. 

No, it should be sufficient for the computer to be offline / disconnected from the Internet or signed out from your Acronis account - there is an option on the Account page > top right where your email address is shown with a caret symbol on the right which shows a drop-down menu, with an option to sign-out shown.
