Changing HDD to SSD

Thread needs solution

I would like to change memory of my computer and HDD containing the system C:\ disk as well as the application D:\ disk (without changing the mother board) to larger SSD.

I made the backup of this HDD using Acronis2019.

Is it now sufficient to replace the HDD by the new SSD and to start recovery, or I should do something else?

Eryk, welcome to these public User Forums.

If you are going to do a recovery of your HDD backup to the new SSD, then this should be done by using the Acronis Rescue media to boot the computer, and the media needs to be booted using the same BIOS mode as used by your Windows OS.

Note: you need to identify what BIOS mode is used by your Windows 10 OS - issuing msinfo32 in Windows will show this in the output report.  You must boot the Acronis Rescue media using the same BIOS mode in order for the recovery to be successful.

See KB 59877: Acronis True Image: how to distinguish between UEFI and Legacy BIOS boot modes of Acronis Bootable Media - with reference to the above note.

Finally, please take a look at forum topic: [How to] recover an entire disk backup - and in particular the attached PDF document showing this process for recovery.
