Cloud backups and old local file deletion

Thread needs solution

If I upload say 200 photos to the cloud from my PC but I then delete 100 of them and then backup to the cloud again, will the old photos be deleted from the cloud?

Not immediately assuming that you are using the default retention rules for your Cloud backup task - see the ATI 2019 User Guide:  Acronis Cloud cleanup - which describes the options available for how data is stored in the Cloud and when any of that data will be 'cleaned up' based on the rules you are using.

Basically, they'll be retained until your retention scheme kicks in and grooms out the oldest backup where the pictures were last included.

If the pictures only existed in that backup and it gets groomed out, then you won't be able to recover them at that point. Cloud retention is 20 or 6 months (whichever comes first) by default.
