Compliance with Google Drive File System

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I use Google File Drive System in order to keep on my desktop only the most used directories and files.

Obviously, I would like to backup my DFS drive using Acronis Backup True Image features.

Unfortunately, I can't find DFS directories on true image backups.

As anybody already solve this problem ?

Symbolic links won't be backed up unless on the physical disk where they are pointed to directly.  Home backup products check for changes at the physical disk sector and/or block level and backup the changes since the last checksum.  This speeds up the process greatly and avoids cataloging overhead - hence why there is no list of changes in each backup.

Distributed File Systems are basically symbolic links.  Unless the local files are available as an actual direct link, on the physical disk being selected, they aren't available.

Keep in mind that True Image is a home user product.  You may want to check out Acronis Backup 12.5 instead.
