Confused about upgrade
Hi,
I've been using an older version of True Image and I want to take the $29.99 upgrade offer for True Image 2019.
The thing is, I don't want cloud backup and don't like annual subscriptions. The offer is stated as a "standard one-time purchase license" to ATI 2019 Cyber Protection.
If I get this, does it expire in a year? Can I shut down the cloud backup service?
Just want to be 100% certain as I've read some conflicting stories. Thanks in advance.

Yeah but the offer screen I get presented with (after selecting "Buy Upgrade") shows a different product name:
- "standard one-time purchase license" to "Acronis True Image 2019 Cyber Protection"
The KB article nomenclature doesn't cover.
And your reference to "Acronis Cloud" was what my OP was referring to.

Acronis True Image 2019 Cyber Protection is just the latest name given to the most recent build version of the product, it still comes in the three editions shown in the KB document referenced above.
Acronis Cloud is an integral part of the product but one that is optional in terms of use. All users of ATI are offered the 30-day Trial of the Cloud service to try to tempt them into upgrading the edition of ATI to one that includes an amount of Cloud storage.
A standard one-time purchase license is a perpetual one, i.e. buy once and use for as long as the product continues to work with the version of Windows where it is installed.
Any subscription license is effectively a rental of ATI plus Cloud storage where all key functionality only remains available while the subscription is valid, and is lost when the subscription is ended, other than the ability to recover from a local backup made during the subscription period.

Thanks for clarifying the name differences. ATI 2019 is now up and running fine.
