Encrypt backup with True Image or BitLocker?

Thread needs solution

Hi there,

since I encrypted all my built-in drives with BitLocker, the backup data has to be encrypted too in order to make sense.

My question is: On the USB-Harddisk, which is the place for backups, should I using BitLocker too? Or encrypt the archive with internal True Image encryption option?

Which is the best or most secure solution?

Thanks for hints.

You can do either here but if you choose to BitLocker encrypt your USB hard disk, then you would need to create recovery media that includes BitLocker support should you need to recover your backups from that encrypted drive, or be in a position to decrypt the drive before using it.

Encrypting your backup image files with the Acronis encryption option should offer an equal level of protection and be easier to manage in any recovery scenario.
