Encryption Password not accepted in True Image, but Works in Explorer

Thread solved

Running True Image 2019 Build 17750 on Windows 10 Pro. Backing up to an external USB hard drive.

I've had backups working for some time now, but tonight I noticed that even though a disk image backup showed recent activity including successful backups and validations it showed nothing on the recovery tab. I deleted the backup from True Image and imported it again. This seemed to work as when I navigate to the recover tab I'm prompted to enter the encryption password - however the password is not accepted and is indicated as incorrect. I've used this password multiple times and I'm copy/pasting it so I know it's not a typo. To confirm, I navigated to the TIB file and was able to open it without issue using the same password .

I've since restarted my computer, but the issue persists.

Is there any recourse here?

After writing the above I took a look at another backup and see similar behaviour. Successful backups are indicated in the activity tab, as recently as this afternoon, but the recovery tab shows no data to recover. This backup does exist and I can navigate its contents through Windows Explorer.

Thanks.

Showing no data to recover can be fixed by doing a Validate of the backup task.

Thanks Ian,

The scheduled backups ran again last night and it seems the passwords are being accepted again without any intervention from me. I'll keep an eye on it and see if it comes up again.
