Extracting from a .tibx

Thread needs solution

I am using ATI 2019. Things have changed and now ATI creates a .tibx file that itself has lots of backups. But that breaks my MO. Is there a way to extract the backups to .tib files?

Eddy, .tibx files are only created by ATI 2020 for new Disk backups or else for Mobile backups of phones.  If you are using ATI 2019 then ATI cannot open any .tibx files created by 2020, nor is there any way to extract those backups to .tib files.

Eddy, if you are using ATI 2019 as per your initial post then all backups are of .tib file types.

If you are using ATI 2020 then all new Disk backups will create .tibx files but all Files & Folders still create .tib files.

1) Can you ask the developers to give an option so disk backups can create .tib files

2) How can I revert to 2019?

Eddy, sorry 1) isn't going to happen given Acronis have invested a significant amount of time to introduce .tibx file format and bringing this from their premium Acronis Backup business product range to ATI.

To revert back to ATI 2019 would require doing a full uninstall of ATI 2020 and deleting all tasks etc, using the Acronis Cleanup tool (link below) then reinstalling ATI 2019.

If you have a backup of your OS drive from before you installed ATI 2020, then you could restore that to revert back, but you would also undo any other OS and application changes that have been made since that time too.
