"Failed to run the scheduled task: The task is already waiting." How do I run the task?

(Apologies If I posted twice - the first post seems to have gone missing)

I am using ATI 2019, build version 17750.

I tried to run a scheduled incremental backup in advance and received the message

"Failed to run the scheduled task: The task is already waiting.

The KB link goes to article "27299: Acronis True Image Errors Out with "Failed to run now" referring to Acronis True Image 2016, (https://kb.acronis.com/content/27299) which may be relevant , but is clearly outdated and does not solve my problem - how do I run a scheduled task in advance?

Rob, if your backup task is already waiting, then it suggests that either it was reaching the scheduled time to run, or else it is in an error retry status, i.e. it has tried to run but has failed so sets a delay period then retries.

If neither of the above are causing the issue, then you will need to download a copy of the Acronis Scheduler Manager (link below) and use this to clear any 'phantom' schedule entries for the task.

The simplest option when using the tool is to use 'task zap' which will clear all scheduled task entries, after which you would need to reschedule these again later.

After using the tool, then restart Windows to clear any ATI processes for the problem task.
