Fails to restore Windows 11-64 Build 22000 Builds on a replacement Hard Drive, which is the same Brand and Size.

Thread needs solution

Hi Support,

I can restore Windows 10 Images files, but not Windows 11 Image Files. I uploaded the logs created using the Acronis Bootable Rescue CD in the attempt to restore.

Morton, are you using ATI 2019 to create the Windows 11 backup image files?

Do you have ATI 2019 installed in Windows 11?

Which type of rescue media is being used on your rescue CD?  Is this the Linux version or is it Windows PE?

The system report recovery logs show several different issues at work!

message="Cannot load DA API disk state. Internal error code: 7"

message="Failed to prepare operations. Error code: 7 'Disk is not found, please check that all the hard disks are attached to your computer';"

The above errors are given in two of the three logs.

message="Pending operation 20 started: 'Deleting partition'." />
message="Pending operation 14 started: 'Recovering partition sector by sector'." />
message="Pending operation 20 started: 'Deleting partition'." />
message="Pending operation 14 started: 'Recovering partition'." />
message="A format/resize error."
message="A format/resize error."
message="Internal error: number of copied sectors differs from counted"

The further errors above from the third log suggests there may be a file system issue at work here too if Acronis is switching to using sector-by-sector mode on recovery, which in turn means that the target drive needs to be equal or larger in size than the source, though the issue could be corruption / damage to the Master File Table or free space count etc.
