[Feature request] Error and failure alerts.
"As soon as man creates something truly foolproof God will build a better fool."
Funny story: As it turns out Acronis has been unable to create a system snapshot of my computer.... for the past month. Because I always treated Acronis as a "set it and forget it" type of program I didn't bother to check whether or not the first backup was successful, then all other backups failed. (I assumed that everything was running fine, but then you know what they say about people who assume.)
I would absolutely LOVE if there was a checkbox or something that said "Alert user to failed backup" or something to that effect. (Or if said box exists, I'd love to know where it is.)
Forgive me if I sound short tempered. Windows System Restore has failed me, Windows backup has failed me, and now Acronis has failed me. (Let's call it all user error since I had the Microsoft Shadow Copy and Virtual Shadow Copy services set to Manual startup, when, according to the troubleshooting article, they should have been set to Manual startup, so that's my bad. I've since set them to Automatic in hopes that the troubleshooting article just misspoke.)
So yeah, a big as heck checkbox to give me big as heck alerts to failures would be really, really welcome for users like myself. Anyway, I'm off to re-re-reinstall Windows 10. Maybe I'll get it right this time.

Thank you Steve for mentioning this option, and also for depicting how to set it up! I'm a long term Acronis user, but at a very basic level, and I was not aware of this very useful option. I set it up tonight, performed a backup, and received a "Backup Succeeded" email. Love it!

The feature was, if I recall correctly, introduced with ATI 2017. It was not given any prominence at the time.
