Folder exclusions don't work

Thread needs solution

I think that my backup is always running in a sector-by-sector mode even when it is disabled. As a result, exclusions don't work and my 12TB hard drive simply doesn't have space for backup. Most of the data is supposed to be excluded but that doesn't happen. I ran "chkdsk /f /r" and there are no errors. I've tried different snapshot methods and that doesn't help either. Any ideas?

Oleg, welcome to these public User Forums.

Sorry but more information is needed to understand how to help with this issue?

What version & build of ATI are you using?  Is it ATI 2019 #17750 per this forum?

What type of backup task is involved here?
Is it a Disks & Partitions backup or a Files & Folders backup task?

Note: Only Disks & Partitions backups would use sector-by-sector method, and this is normally only when selected in the Advanced settings, or else when disk or file system errors are encountered.

Please download the MVP Log Viewer tool (link in my signature below) and use this to review the log file for your backup operation. This should provide more information on what is happening and if any errors are being reported.
