Have backup, but need to re-install windows clean. What should I do After?

Thread needs solution

I have backups completed, and I need to re-install windows 10.   After I re-install windows 10 and True Image, how can I tell True Image where the backups are?  Would I need to create the backups again?

I don't need to restore any files as they are on a good separate drive, and the backups are on a good separate drive.

Thanks.

Dave, welcome to these User Forums.

When you install True Image on your clean Windows 10 system, if you have your good separate backup drive connected to the system, ATI will try to discover the backups stored on the drive and will add these to the ATI GUI using the full file name of the backup file (less the .tib extension).

When you see the backup tasks shown in the GUI you will still need to reconfigure these, i.e. select the Source data, set all the options etc, and rename the task to remove the extra _full/inc_b? etc characters.

If your current version of ATI is either 2019 or 2018, then before you reinstall Windows, you could use the new option in the ATI GUI Settings page to save your task configuration, then to import it back after reinstalling ATI.
