Help - warning "current settings will be lost"
I created a new backup.
I saved it with the name "D-Drive-Full" on the "Options|Backup Scheme" tab. Click OK and exit Options.
Then I renamed the backup in This Computer column again as "D-Drive-Full". (I think the suggested name was something like my backup). There is no option to save, but clicking elsewhere, the name is saved.
I assumed that was that - I'd created my backup. But, No! When I clicked on one of my other backups programs, I got the message "If you leave this window the current settings will be lost. Are you sure that you want to cancel configuration of the backup?" The only options are "Yes" or "No", no option to save settings.
Obviously one clicks "No" and then i hunted around for a way to save them Nothing! Why? How do I save the settings when I have already done so in the Options window?
Furthermore, in an attempt to fix it I went back into Options and tried to save it again, with the same name "D-Drive-Full". I got a warning that this name already exists and the options "Cancel" or "Save" (fair enough). Unfortunately when one clicks on save nothing happens, one can't overwrite or re-save. So how do I re-save?
The only option seems to be to run the backup scheme a creating a backup.
How to I save a scheme without running a backup scheme a creating a backup?
Any help help gratefully received.

Thank you very much, Steve
I have seen that drop down box before, but it is not always there, and I must have missed it this time.

Further info.
That suggestion does not always work - I have just tried to amend a backup scheme, then exited the Options window, and tried to open another scheme and got the same message: "If you leave this window the current settings will be lost. Are you sure that you want to cancel configuration of the backup?" The only options are "Yes" or "No", no option to save settings.
In the green box at the bottom right of the window there is only one option "Back up Now". No dropdown box and no other options.
My only thhought is that there is another scheme running at present.

You use Back up Now to save any task configuration. By default if you do not execute the configured task it will not be saved. TI has been programmed this way for as long as I know of.
