How to open Computer A's back up with Computer B?
Hi
I've got a computer that is dying, The hard drive's contents are backed up daily to an external drive but the computer itself (Computer A) will no longer start.
How do I open Computer A's back up files using my Acronis installation on Computer B?
Right now the only back up I can see using Acronis on Computer B is the back up belonging to Computer B.
How do I navigate to and open Computer A's back up using Computer B?
I don't want to just mess around blindly.
Thanks

Thanks, Steve,
Jut out of curiosity, will it works/what happens if they are different versions of ATI? I have ATI 2019 on some computers and ATI 2016 on some older ones.
Does it strictly have to be the same version?
Also, which file should I open? The latest incremental backup? The original full backup?
I've been using ATI for years but never had to recover anything from the backup of a dying computer.

Craig, Acronis only provides for backwards compatibility between versions of ATI, so your ATI 2019 is fine opening files created by ATI 2016 but not guaranteed to work in reverse. This is especially true beyond ATI 2019 as Acronis have introduced new backup files using .tibx file extensions for Disk backups from ATI 2020 onwards, where these are seen as being 'Corrupt' by earlier versions of ATI.
In terms of which file to open, then I would suggest going for the latest file as this should automatically pick up any files found in only earlier versions. If you encounter any issues with the latest incremental backup file, then work backwards towards the original full backup file.
