How to select partition size for a restore

Thread solved

I made a backup of my full drive "C" as supplied from DELL. At that time the OS was on a 128G SSD. Partitions are:

-750MB EFI

-104GB OS

-496MB NTFS WINRETTOLLS

-12.83GB NTFS Image

-1.13GB NTFS DELLSUPPORT

-1744GB Unallocated

After the backup I installed a 2TB SSD and restored to that. As expected ATI allocated the partitions just as I had backed them up. What I'm wondering is … is there a way to specify the size of the OS when doing the restore? I'm using the CD but I could use the installed ATI if that is necessary.

Thanks, Eddy

I think you need to look at the user guide:

5.1.1.4 Recovering your system to a new disk under bootable media

In particular item 10.

I have found it easier to do the restore and use MiniTool Partition Wizard (free) to adjust the position and size of the partitions - but that might just be me.
