Solution ??

Bonjour Christian, welcome to these User Forums.

The default OS used on the ATI 2019 Rescue media is now Windows PE whereas with earlier versions (prior to ATI 2018), a Linux Kernel OS was used for rescue media, so this can alter the behaviour seen when dealing with network connections.

The first question is to ask whether you are able to see any network activity when you are booted from the ATI 2019 Rescue Media?  Can you do a PING for your NAS device?

Next, see KB 57992: Acronis True Image: NAS Is Not Detected - (57992: Acronis True Image: NAS n'est pas détecté) which has a section related to the Rescue Media.

Hi,

No network activity and no NAs detected from ATi 2019 rescue media.

No problem with ping to NAS IP adress, no problem to access my MAS from windows explorer, AND no problem to access the NAS from earlier verion of ATI  ( network).

My Backups are mainly made on this NAS. (Lacie) without problems.

Is it  a fonction "wake on LAN " in the rescue media ??

Best regards

Christian, I have tested the ATI Rescue Media (MVP WinPE version) with my own Synology NAS on a computer with a wired network connection and this worked fine as shown in the screen shots below:

The PE Network Manager tool in the MVP WinPE media would allow you to map a network drive to your NAS if desired.

Thanks for this answer.

OK, I'll try again.

BUT, for the common user it's certainly NOT an improvement. I have already  spent a lot of time  and nothing is reliable.

I am very happy to have old rescue media, because with the new one I am absolutely not sure to access to my *.tib files.
