Incremental files in Recycle bin.
Hi guys 'n gals,
Running ACRONIS TI 2019.
I just noticed that during my "normal" weekly backups, 4th of the month is in progress now, (One full then 2 Incrementals), that there are 2 Incremental backups in my Recycle bin.
(eg; 4th - 11th -18th & 25th of each month.)
(One dated the 4th June @ 2.55 Gig & the 2nd one dated 11th June @ 2.77 Gig.)
After the "normal" weekly back up completes, these 2 Incrementals are removed from the Recycle bin.
This never happened before, but the Recycle bin does NOT show them as being in there.
I only see them when I open the Recycle bin.
Any ideas as to why this is now occurring?
Thanks for reading & assisting with this weird happening.

Hi,
Latest update...
The weekly backup just finished.
Result as follows...
I now have in my external HDD,
4 files under the name WMYC, which apparently ACRONIS picked up from my PC after the new update/installation.
(I did not change the name of my back up. Maybe I should have?)
Should really have been > ST500DM002-1B which was originally the name of my HDD & what is shown in the original
ACRONIS installation.
(Understand this?)
The 4 files listed in order are...
12/6 (June) Full-b1-S1-v1.tib @ 108.9 Gig.
5/7 (July) Full-b2-S1-v1.tib @ 109.1 Gig.
18/6 (June) Inc-b1-S2-v1.tib @ 2.3 Gig.
25/6 (June) Inc-b1-S3-v1.tib @ 2.0 Gig.
Also have these 2 named as ST500DM002 still in the Recycle bin.
1B-D142Inc-b12-S2-v1.tib 2 2.55 Gig.
1B-D142Inc-b12-S3-v1.tib @ 2.77 Gig.
As I do NOT have anything "strange" going on, is it safe for me to just have ACRONIS delete everything &
I'll just re-do all my preferences of the back up options again?
I don't like the way that this is going.
Need a little assistance.
(Damn this medium is hard.)
Ta muchly.

Rajah, if you have any orphan incremental files, i.e. those without an associated full backup using the same root name and b12 sequence, then they are of zero value!
If your backup file names are mismatched to your task names then I would recommend making a clean start by removing all such tasks, deleting the associated files (or move them to a spare drive) then forcing a rebuilt of the Acronis database as per KB 60915: Acronis True Image: repairing program settings

Hello Steve,
Many thanks for the info. & links.
I performed the #1 option BUT I manually deleted all the external HDD back-ups afterwards.
(Weren't really needed.)
I opened ACRONIS & set all my prefs again & then did a manual back-up.
I now have just the one FULL back-up file.
Looks like all is back to "normal."
Thank you Steve.
