Installation Location
Why is it that Acronis True Image 2019 by default will be installed on your system partition (usually C:). I have a 250GB SSD which is full of applications which don't allow the option to select the destination drive for the main installation files. My PC is configured with C: drive for the system D: for programmes and E: for data but I'm having real problems keeping the C drive's free-space greater than 7GB

Hello Oneeasygeezer,
I've added your feedback as a vote for the change request (bring back the ability to select installation path), however I'm afraid this change is not likely to be implemented.

Adding to Ekaterina's comment, there is good reason why it will probably not be implemented. When True Image installs, the bulk of the program is installed to Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis. Common Files are stored on the C: drive by default. Therefore, selecting a different drive to install to would only move a small portion of the program to that drive.

Hi Mustang, It may well be that True Image installs, the bulk of the program is installed to Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis. Common Files are stored on the C: drive by default.what I'm asking is why the bulk of the files can't be installed to a location of choice with the Common Files are stored on the C: drive rather than have more and more files filling up the operating system disk / partition is there a system imperative or is it just lazy programming as I suspect.
