Making changes to NonStop Backup

Thread needs solution

Are you supposed to be able to make changes to NonStop Backups?  If I suspend mine it won't let me click on options, or location, or destination?  You click and nothing happens?

The only way I seem to be able to change it is to delete it.  But it doesn't clean up properly when I do that so I have to manually delete it from the external hard drive.  But it won't let me touch the folders unless I use Task Manager to kill a bunch of Acronis services first.

Only when I've done all that can I delete the stray folders, reboot the machine, and then create a new nonstop job.

Also, if I stop it, I can't start it again.  It looks like it's starting, but it stops straight away.  Only rebooting will bring it back to life.

It's a bit annoying as it is doing this behaviour on all three of my machines, which are fresh installs of Windows 10, so nothing odd installed on them.

Craig, have you tested this issue with the latest ATI 2019 Build 14610 version - would be worth trying this and if you still see an issue, raise a Support Ticket for it.

Craig, just did a quick test of NSB with the latest build 14610 and was able to Suspend the NSB task then make changes to the Source data selection then resume the backup.  This didn't work when I tested the same on the previous build 14110 version.

Hi Steve.  I'm a brand new user and I'm not sure how to upgrade to the latest version?  Under the account section of the client it says I am running build 14110 and that the product is up to date?  Is there somewhere else I have to go for updates?  I had assumed the product would update itself.

Found it.  It does improve things.  I can stop and start now and access the options.  But it got a library link error when I tried making a few changes.  But I'm willing to assume that's because I've been messing around with it and broke something somewhere.

Thanks for your help.
