Monitored processes - not real number

Thread solved

In Active Protection window I can see "13 monitored processes", but bellow it shows only 4 processes..

Also, in free version of Acronis Ransomware Protection I had the possibility to change the status from "Monitored" to "Trusted" using one click on the process that I'm sure is trusted. After upgrade to Acronis True Image Advanced 2019 I can only to add the process to permission list?

Thanks!

Welcome to these User Forums.

Monitored processes are not an indication of malware or ransomware but just those which AAP does not recognise but which are or have been active.

You should be able to click on the Add button and select the same applications to add these manually if you believe that they are safe and can be trusted.

Thanks for your answer, Steve! What you present is the procedure to add a process on the "white list". It is a little different from the free version of Acronis Ransomware Protection, where with a single click we can add the process to "white list" and not need to browse for the executable..

In the mean time I found why the number of monitored processes (in my  case = 13) is bigger than number of processes on the list (in my case = 4). Because, in my case, I missed the number (10) that is shown after postgres.exe process..

Thanks anyway!

I haven't been able to compare AAP with the free version of Acronis Ransomware Protection as they are mutually exclusive and only one can be installed.  I have a mix of ATI 2018 & 2019 both with AAP so could not install ARP without having to uninstall ATI first!

Hello Yarnea,

I've added your feedback to the existing feature request (internal ID for reference TI-121508). There are plans to rework the Active Protection console in the near updates to make it more user-friendly. Thank you for your input!
