Mounting prev. Win7Pro Backup Image in Win10Pro cause request user credentials (all entered credentials failed)

Thread needs solution

Hello,

I've made a Backup Image of my old Windows 7 Pro (x64), this is verified and works. Now I'venstalled Windows 10 Pro (x64) and want to mount this image, because I need some files.

But if i double-click the image, I get a login screen (see screenshot); and even if I enter my old Windows (7) credentials, or my new windows (10) credentials, they all failed with an error:

"Access Denied" [EN] / "Zugriff verweigert" [DE]

What is the problem? Can this be disabled?

Thanks for help.

Best Greetrings

Do you have the same problem if you try doing a file recovery from within ATI?

Please confirm the software being used - I am assuming it is ATI, if so what version and build number?

You are more likely to get an answer if you post on the forum for the particular product you are using, for example ATI 2019 or ATI 2018.

Moved the topic to Acronis True Image 2019 Forum

Bjoern, here is another suggestion that helped to eliminate a similar issue https://forum.acronis.com/comment/404259#comment-404259   The solution was to modify the security properties of the image file to grant permission to the current user.

@Ekaterina Surkova Thanks, that helps and solved the Problem.

I ask myself, why ATI(#### - 2019) obey the Windows security, if I can change it easily?!?
