No Data to Recover Yet

Thread needs solution

I have two file backups created to my NAS. The Activity tab says they were successfully created and I can see the tlib files on my NAS. When I go to recovery I get the message "No Data to Recover Yet, create your first backup version to see its content here".

Try validating the backup - hopefully that will solve the problem.

When I select the file backup name and click on the dropdown arrow the only selections are RENAME / CLONE SETTINGS / DELETE.

Use Windows Explorer to navigate to backup image file on your NAS. left click on the file to select it.  Now, right click on the file and look for Acronis True Image in the resulting menu.  Hover your mouse over that and select Validate from the pop out that appears.

Thanks Enchantech, I will try that tomorrow. I just created a new version chain test backup to an external drive on my PC instead of the NAS and the Recovery selection appears normal.

Sorry for the delay in trying your idea Enchantech, The validate choice is available in the right button popup for the tlib files on the NAS but when executed, other than the Acronis application permissions popup nothing happens. When I perform the same sequence on the test backup that I stored on the local external drive, the Acronis Icon in the taskbar becomes animated and the bottom of the backup activity window develops a progress bar. But this test never had the problem of the recovery tab being blank.

So, I still do not see a way to recover file chain backups off the NAS. I have also seen several threads that when using the recovery disk the NAS is not visible which means my system image would be non recoverable if I had a total system crash.

It seems to me the issue of the NAS not being visible is where I need to turn my attention.
