No Tasks visible, but Jobs still running

Thread needs solution

Hello,

on my pc there were first two jobs for TI 2019. One for the systemdrive and one for the datasection on my nas.

Both jobs seem to work, I see new parts on the target drive, but I didn't see the tasks, when I invoke TI by its icon.

I didn't verify those jobs by restore and I can't get in the *.tib by windows-explorer for verify. It asks for volumes without ending. In the context-menu no mounting is offered

So I set up these jobs a second time, and it's the same as before. They aren't visible in the main program, so I can't view logs or do changes on all four.

The program comes up like the first time, and suggests to backup all drives visible.

The first comment is that your problem description is not common and I can't remember when anyone else has reported similar issues!

My first question is to ask whether you are running ATI 2019 from an Administrator account (as required by the application to work correctly)?

I would recommend doing a Repair Install of ATI 2019 from an Administrator account to see if this will resolve the issues you are seeing.  See KB 60915: Acronis True Image: repairing program settings - for details.

Steve, thank you for your reply.

I'm logged in as an admin, starting the main program each time asks me to allow "admin".

Invoking my previously downloaded version TI2019-17750 (most recent) offers a repair and I did so.

Nothing changed, still no tasks visible, still opening like the very 1rst time.

I think, there was an older version of TI before I installed 2019. But the control panel only shows 2019.

Sorry to post this. Looking up my previous threads I found, I've suffered from this problem already on TI 2015. The solution was, to run the cleanup-utility from Acronis.

Hopefully I remember to check the newer backups next week.

The next suggestion here would be to first export your backup task settings to a zip file then to do a clean install of ATI 2019 after first uninstalling via the Control Panel then running the Acronis Cleanup tool - Note: ignore the steps to go into the Windows Registry in the document for the cleanup tool.

Restart the PC, then reinstall ATI 2019 again, then import your backup task settings back from the zip file you exported them to.

Finally, either run your backup task(s) or do a validation of the same to help repopulate the information about them in the ATI GUI.

The cleanup-tool solves the problem of non visible jobs. But the data for scheduling got lost.

The scheduling details need to be reconfigured as unfortunately that is not captured by exporting the task configuration!
