Nonstop Backups Stop Permanently After Installation of any Windows 10 Updates

Thread needs solution

Every Windows Update that I have installed to my Windows 10 Professional (64-bit) desktop PC since updating to Windows 10 Version 1809 has resulted in my Acronis Non-Stop backup being stopped permanently.  The only solution on each occasion has been to delete the backup and create a new one and then start it.  Everything is then fine until the next Windows Update is installed.  (My Acronis Product:  Acronis True Image 2019 Perpetual Licence, version 14690).

Peter, what are you backing up in your Non Stop backup task?

Please download the MVP Log Viewer tool (link in my signature) to review what messages are given in the NSB log files for when this problem occurs?

I recall having a similar issue that possibly was due to a major Windows 10 pro update. I assume going into the settings and redoing them does not solve the issue (this used to happen when Acronis use disk signature which were changed by major updates; I think it now uses partition information instead.

I just posted my experience with Acronis 2019. It seems that at least Orico drives may be problematic. Vantec Nexstar and Sabrent USB 3 drives are working.

David, have you tested the problem drives with any other backup products other than ATI 2019 and if so, do you see the same issue?
