Question: Anyone still running Windows 7 64-Bit Service Pack 1?

Thread needs solution

Hi All,

With Acronis True Image 2019 Update 1 installed, it fails to shut down the computer.

Works with shutting down the computer, where Windows 10 is installed.

Thanks in advance!

Morton, sorry can't help with this question as have no Windows 7 64-bit systems any more and have never used the 'shutdown when finished' option for a long time.

If you get no help from the forum, then open a Support Case with Acronis and include an Acronis System Report which will include the Windows Event Logs where information on any shutdown events should be recorded, along with the backup task logs etc.

Morton, I'm still running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1 on my desktop PC here in Fort Collins, CO.  If/when I decide to purchase ATI 2019, I'll test the shutdown issue.  Not always, but note that I often create/restore backups via bootable media vs. the Windows GUI.  In any case, I haven't upgraded yet because I want to first learn whether or not the "comment issue" for older backups that concerned us both earlier in this year has been dealt with in version 2019. - Rick S.

Hi Rick S,

When you first install Acronis True Image 2019 and it imports the existing images, The Activity Screen is blank and the Comments are not shown. When you manually add the same image back into Acronis, which you are allow to do, the Comments are only shown on the Activity Screen, not in the place you first placed the Comments.

Morton, thanks so much for the quick reply.  Very helpful.  Note that earlier today I also posted a reply for Ekaterina over in the original thread, so perhaps I'll hear from her too.  I'll likely upgrade to version 2019 this evening and test things out tomorrow.  Thanks again.  p.s. not nearly as important as comments, but on the Activity screen does the size of these (manually added) older backups appear as well?

Hi Rick S,

Yes!

Perfect, yes I installed version 2019 last evening and now under the Activity tab I'm finally seeing comments, file size, creation date, etc. for these older backups.  Very pleased about that.  I haven't made any new backups yet using version 2019, but did manually import (from my Synology NAS) numerous old ones that were created with multiple versions of TI (2013, 2017, 2018), some using bootable media and others via the Windows GUI.  I DO have a couple of questions for Ekaterina about the Activity screen info that I'll post this afternoon over in the original thread (link below).  Thanks again!
