Reboot & select proper boot device

I restored my, 'C', drive replacing a 500G SSD with a 1T SSD. The restore was successful, however, to boot Windows 7 I get the, "Reboot & select proper boot device", selecting the new drive from the boot menu launches the OS. I do not have UEFI. I tried to correct this problem by changing the boot sequence in my BIOS and I tried to use diskpart.exe neither worked.
I followed the directions supplied by Acronis guiding me through the restore operation.
I did a restore earlier this year with Aconis 2019 when I changed from a platter harddrive to an SSD and did not experience this problem.
I hope you have solution explaining how I can remove this error.
Thank you
ERK

Ditto to Steve's comment above.Make sure that once you change the boot order, you save and apply it before leaving the bios too. Also double check the boot order menu entries - you may have selected the wrong drive (perhaps not, but just to be sure). If you don't save and apply before leaving the bios, the changes won't stick.
And if it is saved and not adhering to the boot order, then yeah, try a bios reset to default. On my old gigabyte board, it was all kinds of "stupid" and I would sometimes have to re-flash the bios (same version as it was the latest) to really make it forget some settings and behave appropriately again. Luckily, Gigabyte has released more standard firmware in the last couple of years and my current motherboard from them has been much better at doing what it is supposed to when making bios modifications. Not sure what motherboard you have, but it could have similar behavior as my old system.
