Recovery freezes when using Recovery DVD Media
I am trying to recover my C drive ( 500GB) which is one partition of Disk 0 (4 TB) that I have fully backed up.
I have made a Recovery Disk, and booted the computer from it. I select Acronis x64, and go through all the steps of the Recovery Wizard until I reach the page titled " Specify recover settings of Partition C". When I select the Next button, nothing happens. When I select it agian , or any other location on the screen, the computer beeps. It is frozen.
Can anyone please advise the best way to recover my C drive from my backup?

Also, what is your OS version and Arhitecture (i.e. is it Windows 10 64-bit)? And can you verify if your OS is installed in legacy mode or UEFI mode?
It sounds like you are using the older Linux recovery media (I'm assuming because that uses a GUI menu with the 32-bit and 64-bit options, where WinPE or WinRE is a black menu with white letters - like a DOS prompt).
You may have better luck creating a WinRE rescue media in the Acronis application which should have much better driver support and is typically more reliable on modern systems. However, it's important to also boot your recovery media to match how the OS was installed... for backups, it doesn't really matter, but for recovery, it DOES matter.
This link will give you some quick ways to determine how your OS is currently installed (just to be sure). It's the same for Windows 7 - Windows 10 for most of these.
