Restore from files created but not registered

Thread needs solution

I have 2 sets of backups created with True Image. One on a home server and one on a NAS. Only the backup stored on the home server is seen by True Image. The other was created several months ago and those are visible on the NAS as files, but I can't restore from them.

The original setup was from the PC to the NAS and that relationship no longer exists, just the one to the home server.

How can True Image recognize those files on the NAS as valid backups? Right clicking on the file opens a dialog box to open with True Image, but just assigns drive letters that still aren't accessible from the main program.

What version of ATI are you using? Right clicking in Explorer only allows you to either mount or validate a backup; you cannot run the backup.

In recent versions you can add backups - at the bottom of the left hand pane there is "Add backup", you click on + to create a new one and on the flattened v (at right edge of the pane) to add an existing backup. You will then need to reconfigure the backup task.

Alternatively, copy the backup files from the NAS to a local disk and then access them.
