Restore previous .tib bootable USB that won’t boot anymore.

Thread needs solution

I have a .tib image that was put on a bootable USB drive in 2016. It worked flawlessly for a few years but now it will not boot. I believe the boot file has been corrupted. Is there a way to restore the bootable capability to the drive or take the .tib image and place it on a new bootable drive? I’m having trouble figuring out how to do this.

You should be able to copy the *.tib file to a bootable USB drive. However, it is possible that the problem causing the existing bootable drive from booting may also have damaged the *.tib file. I am assuming the existing USB drive has two partitions, one with Acronis recover media and the other containing the *.tib files.

Another thing you could try would be to delete the boot partition from the existing USB drive, and then use ATI 2019 to create recovery media on the exiting drive (having formatted it to FAT32) or use ATI to create recovery media as part of the creation of a Survival Kit.
