Restore with universal restore fails when connected to NETGEAR Switch

Thread needs solution

I tried to restore a backup-session stored on QNAP-NAS with universal restore USB-Stick. The restore fails, because the network connection to the NAS terminates. I found following behaviour:
In universal restore i can select the NAS directory. When I try to select the further subdirectorie(s) it takes a long time an then on the NETGEAR Switch i can see, that the LED's showing the connection speed/status go off and I can not select the Backup.
With the NETGEAR management tool i found that the port changed the "admin-mode" to "disabled".
When I change the port back to "admin-mode" "enabled". the network connection comes up again, but after short time again the connection stops with port admin-mode changed to "disabled".
So there is no way to select the backup for restore.
For emergancy i installed Windows 10 on my LAPTOP new, so that i can use the LAPTOP again, but the original Installation is lost.
Is there any way to get to the backup when connected over NETGEAR switch to NAS as backup/restore medium ?
Must i copy then backup-files to univeral restore-medium in order to succeed ?

First question: why are you using Acronis Universal Restore media here?  This is only required when migrating OS backup images to new hardware, not for recovering to the same hardware.

If you have an external USB backup drive, then you could copy the backup image from your NAS to that drive and bypass the Netgear switch.
