Selecting a tib file for a restore

Thread needs solution

I need to restore from a specific tib. So I selected Recovery then clicked the down arrow next to "Add Backup" and selected "Add Existing Backup" and selected my tib and "Add". But that leaves "Recovery" and flips to "Backup". So I clicked on "Recovery" again and that shows my internal drives but not the external drives (I need to restore from an external drive to another external drive). So I tried "Recover PC" and "Recover Disks". That doesn't show the external disks, only the internal disks but I need to select a source in order to say "Recover To".

What is the correct procedure to restore from a specific tib?

it is possible you are misunderstanding what you are seeing. To the uninitiated it can be difficult to understand stand the ATI interface. Have you looked at the real vent section of the ATI user guide? If not pease do so now - the solution may be obvious when you do so.

Eddy, it is never a good idea to rename your .tib files outside of using the ATI GUI options for doing so, and this will become even more critical when the new ATI 2020 version gets released as this is bringing in a different file naming convention for new backup tasks that will no longer use the current extra file identifies (_full_b1 etc).  This has been a topic of conversation in the ATI 2020 Beta Forums during the initial user beta testing activities.

The forum for the ATI 2020 beta is here (only accessible if you are registered for beta testing as you clearly are).
