Stream the contents of a .tib file

Thread needs solution

Hello everyone

I have backed up a hdd (1tb size with a lot of video files) which was not in a very good state on a Synology NAS using Acronis True Image 2019

What i want to do is stream the videos that are inside .tib file through the NAS. Is there a way to mount the .tib file on Synology just like it is done on Windows? Is something like that possible?

I have the Acronis Mobile App on Synology installed but i haven' t found a similar option

Sorry but I have never heard of any option to mount a remote network file on the NAS where it is stored.  Mounting is offered within Windows and the file would be mounted on the Windows PC not on the NAS.  To have a mount option, the file must include a Partition.  Files & Folders backup files cannot be mounted due to this limitation.

OK thanks

The file includes a partition and it can be mounted on Windows.

So i guess that if i want to use the NAS to stream the video files that there are on the tib file i have to recover them on the NAS. There is no other way to access them right?

There are no stand-alone methods or utilities for accessing the contents of Acronis .tib / .tibx files, so if you want to deliver the content direct from your NAS, then you need the files to be stored directly on the NAS as files with their original extensions.
