Hi, sorry about my english here.

I would like to ask, if it's possible to have one 4 TB HD for multy user. I have 3 PC and i am wondering, if i need 3 HD drive for an Survival Kit or if i can use one HD for 3 PC?

Thank you for your feedback and best regards

Romano, welcome to these User Forums.

Your 4TB HDD drive can be used with multiple different PC's but there are some considerations you need to understand.

If your 4TB HDD is currently using GPT with NTFS as the file system, then do not create the Acronis Survival Kit on an older, Legacy/MBR computer as this will want to reformat the 4TB drive to use MBR but will only recognise 2TB due to the limitations of MBR architecture.

If you have a mix of Legacy and UEFI computers, then create the Survival Kit on a UEFI PC - this will also try to use the Windows PE version of the Rescue Media when creating the 2GB FAT32 partition at the front of your 4TB HDD space.  (A Legacy PC will use the Linux version of the Rescue Media, not WinPE).

You should test that each of the PC's where you want to use the Survival Kit is able to boot from the 4TB HDD after it has been prepared as a Survival Kit - this may mean adjusting your BIOS settings to allow for this or else using a Boot Override key (i.e. such as F12 on Dell PC's) to select the Survival Kit for booting.

Dear Steve

Thank you for your answer. All 3 PC have new SSD Drives and all 3 PC work with Win 10 prof.

Normaly they make every month an normal Backup with my server. But i will try your suggestion.

Thank you again

Romano

Windows 10 and SSD's can be used on MBR or UEFI/GPT machines. You need to determine how each machine boots to determine usage of the Survival Kit feature.
