Did the backup from the old laptop and  then move to Dell for restoring the back up, then Acronis cannot recognise /detect the hard drive of DELL!!

Help!! any reasons why??? How can i make the Acronis to see my hard drive? How can i make it work?

What model is your old laptop?

You are probably facing a driver issue.  What make storage controller do both laptops have?  If they are both Intel controllers then a driver update should fix the issue.

Hey @Enchantech thank you for the reply.

Old laptop is an HP Elitepro W10 ssd125 (sata type). The pronlem is with the new Dell ... Acronis cannot see the hard drive (pci expr. type) and cannot write the image file.

I do not know how can i do an Acronis bootable usb drive with drivers for a pci-express controller?

HP is a pain when trying to find drivers.  The support site requires that you have a serial number to get drivers.

Please look in Windows Device Manager at Storage Controllers per the screenshot below on both of these computers.

In Device Manager look for the Chipset storage controller, in the example screenshot you will see this Controller is Intel.  I believe both your computers will be using an Intel controller.

If the computers both use Intel Storage Controllers then what you will need to do is update the Storage Controller driver on your HP to the same driver as is on your new Dell.  I have determined that the Dell driver is version 15.7.6.1027 ,A04.

I have taken the liberty to locate this driver on the Intel website for you so that you can download it at this LINK

The link will get you the required drivers for an X64 Windows install in a .ZIP file.  You will need to place the file in a folder and then extract the contents to this folder.  From Device Manager you then choose to update the Storage Controller drivers, tell the updater that you will supply the drivers, browse to the folder where you unzipped the download and let the update installer do its thing.

Once you have done that you will need to Restart the computer to complete the install.  Once you do that you can build new Simple Recovery Media (USB) to boot the machine and it should be able to work with the PCIe drive.

Be advised that once you complete the recovery to the Dell you will have to update chipset, USB, network adapter drivers and others as needed.
