TrueImage 2019 Boot Disc cloning

Thread needs solution

I don't like to run cloning within the Windows environment, so I create the Boot Disc which loads the Acronis software without Windows being in control. It loads OK but when I run the Tools/Utilities and Select Clone Disk, it goes fine and I'm able to select the source and destination then it shows the destination before and after size and partitions. However, when I proceed to clone, it suddenly goes black and there's a message stating "segmentation error" and it begins to create a log or something that takes a long time.

I did create this boot disc with the original installation on my computer and wonder if subsequent updates to the program might fix this if I create a new boot disc after updating the Windows-installed software? Thanks!

Gary, the last known issue with segmentation errors was fixed in the latest build of ATI 2017 and I have not seen any more recent reports of such errors for over 3 years.

I would recommend creating a new ATI boot disc if yours was created when you first installed ATI 2019 as there have been at least 5 different new updates for that version with the latest / final build being #17750.

I would also recommend running a memory check on your computer where this error was reported if the new boot disc does not resolve this segmentation error.
