Thread needs solution

Can anyone tell me if Acronis is planning on supporting hardware two factor authentication to their cloud offering such as the Google Titan package?

As of right now I don't even see an option for any software defined 2FA which is disappointing considering I'm uploading all of my data to their servers.  I know of the encryption option and I do use it, I just think given the nature of the backup business it'd be a no brainer to support 2FA in some capacity even if it's not hardware backed.

I'm really hoping I'm just overlooking the 2FA setting somewhere.

Kristopher, welcome to these User Forums.

There is no 2FA provision with the Acronis Cloud and any data that you upload to the same should always employ the available encryption options provided in the ATI GUI under the Advanced Options for your backup task.  The password used for encryption will be known only to you and your data  cannot be decrypted by Acronis or anyone else should you forget or lose the password.

I would recommend that you submit Feedback direct to Acronis via the tool provided in the GUI to add your name to those also asking for this type of added protection.

Hello Kristopher,

I've added this topic as a vote to the existing feature request. Will raise the question to the product team to find out the plans regarding this functionality. Last time we discussed this topic I was told we didn't plan to introduce 2-factor auth for Acronis True Image, but it's been quite a while and the roadmap might have changed.
