unable to backup to an ISCSI drive on windows with acronis 2019 and windows 10 Pro - 1803
Hello to all acronis comunity members.
After upgrading to acronis 19 and applying the last windows 10 version aka : Windows 10 Pro - 1803, I'm no longer able to backup to an ISCSI drive.
The drive is see as an external drive, and Acronis True Image 2019, refuse to start the backup as long as it's not connected.
It's the first time i'm faced with this issue since I use acronis for my backup. ( Since 2012, i buy all the acronis version up to the last one : 2019 )
I already restored windows from my isci backup without any problems.
So do you know if there is a bug about it ?
Thanks a lot for your help and support.
Philippe

hello Steve,
thank you for your reply , il already tried to declare the backup drive as an external drive without any succes.
Acronis see it disconnected and refuse to start backkup. I must tell that i can explore it with windows explorer and copy a file on it without any errors. From windows end, the drive is see as an internal one.
I use Acronis backup since 2012 with the same ISCSI drive, and it's the first time i got this issue.

- start backup on event
- one time per day
- the iscsi drive is not declard as an external on

Philippe, very strange! I can only recommend raising a Support Case directly with Acronis for this ISCSI drive issue and let them work with on this to understand why there is a problem with how the drive is seen?

Just seen your last post about putting back 2019 and it now working. ATI 2019 does seem to work better after doing a clean install rather than upgrading for an earlier version! I have had to do the same on one of my computers, but I had put part of the issue down to having had the Beta version of 2019 installed.
