Unable to lock the disk. Boot your computer from a linux-based media
I just started having this issue. I have successfully been using ATI 2019 on several Windows 10 / 64 machines to backup and restore to for the past 6 months. I have used the WinPE restore DVD over a dozen times during this period to do a full partition restore; "C" drive. It has worked flawlessly. Today, and after multiple attempts, after booting from the rescue media CD, I noticed that it no longer loaded and listed all the TIB files found on any attached drives. I had to manually "Browse" for backup files, select the one I wanted and then right mouse on the file and select "Recover". After selecting "C" drive partition and Next, I am now getting this message:
"Unable to lock the disk. Boot your computer from a Linux based bootable media and try again"
I also have another laptop that I am using ATI 2019 on that I am going to try and see if I receive the same message.
This is a confidence breaker for me as I do not understand what changed since it is the same machine, hard drive, WinPE recovery disk and ATI 2019 product.
