Thread needs solution

Hi I have i 128GB SSD in my computer.

I was wondering if I create a backup with ATI 2019 and the replace HDD with 500GB SSD and restore image to new HDD with this work?

Yup, that's how it's supposed to work.

- Take a full disk backup of the original OS Disk with Acronis in Windows or with the offline rescue media.

- Remove the original drive and set aside for safekeeping.

- Install the new disk on the same SATA port as the original used to be.

- Boot the Acronis rescue media

- "add new disk" with Acronis to initialize the new disk.

- restore the backup image to the new disk

- When done, power off then boot into the bios first - check to make sure the new disk is still listed as the 1st boot priority and make it that if it isn't.

Should be good to go and boot into the newly restored OS on the disk like it was always there to begin with.

Once you're happy with the results, you can then format the old drive and re-purpose it for something else, or just hold onto it "as is" in case you want something as a quick fall back to swap out.
