Validate just restarted
I just was editing photos and waiting for validation to finish in the background. Checked and it looks like after a successful validation of a weekly incremental backup it just restarted the validate. Why would it do that?

David, the log information shows 3 task activities.
Task 1
1/30/2019 2:19:41 PM: Operation DESKTOP-5ASCF1L started by schedule.
....
1/30/2019 2:33:12 PM: The following backups have been successfully created: F:\DESKTOP-5ASCF1L_inc_b1_s7_v1.tib
1/30/2019 2:33:12 PM: Validate Backup Archive Location: F:\DESKTOP-5ASCF1L_inc_b1_s7_v1.tib
1/30/2019 2:33:12 PM: Pending operation 4 started: 'Validate Backup Archive'.
1/30/2019 8:06:22 PM: Operation has succeeded.
Task 2
1/30/2019 8:06:22 PM: Operation Backup validation started by schedule.
1/30/2019 8:06:24 PM: Validate Backup Archive Location: F:\DESKTOP-5ASCF1L_inc_b1_s7_v1.tib
1/30/2019 8:06:24 PM: Pending operation 4 started: 'Validate Backup Archive'.
1/30/2019 9:55:10 PM: Terminated by system shutdown.
Task 3
2/1/2019 9:21:19 AM: Operation My partitions started by schedule.
....
2/1/2019 9:21:40 AM: Writing full version to file: My partitions_full_b1_s1_v1.tib
....
2/1/2019 2:42:30 PM: Terminated by system shutdown
This shows that for Task 1 you have configured the task to do both a Backup and Validation.
For Task 2 you have set a scheduled Validation at a different time for Task 1 but this is terminated by the computer being shutdown.
For Task 3 you have a different Backup being performed which again is terminated by the computer being shutdown.

I don't see a separate validation scheduled. I only see two tasks when I open the program.

David, scheduled validation tasks do not show in the ATI GUI which only lists backup tasks.
The option to schedule a validation is given in the Advanced Options for the task involved (DESKTOP-5ASCF1L)
If you still cannot find it via the task options, then you can clear all scheduled tasks by using the Acronis Scheduler Manager tool (link below) where you can issue the command: task zap in the command window the tool opens. This will remove all schedules, so you would then need to go back to the ATI GUI and reset the schedule for your backup tasks that use a schedule.

I found it. I had checked both validate when created and validate weekly on Wednesday. Thank you for the help.
