Validation Fails

Thread needs solution

Validation does not appear to be working.  Backup of Folders & Files is successful but validation fails on some backups.  Oddly one backup & validation completed successfully; however, after I deleted it and backed it up to the same drive but under a different directory the backup was successful but the validation failed.  I tested Recovery function with a couple of files  and the files were restored.

I note that the successful backups that fail validation are in list form with numerous v1 to v# versions (e.g., v1, v2,v3, etc.) and not the usual single .tip file.  Is this because the backup did not validate?

Using Western Digitally 3TB My Book external hard drive, Windows 10 64-bit, True Image 2019.

Ran Western Digital's drive checker and it did not find any problems with the drive.

Please see KB 61844: Acronis True Image 2019, 2020 and 2021: How to delete old backups especially if you are deleting backups using Explorer!

If you are seeing files with v1, v2 etc then either the backup is being interrupted such that it is being split or else there may be fragmentation on the destination drive meaning that a single large file cannot be stored but has to be split.
